Running Events

Race dates change each year so only months are listed below. Dates in red are sometimes targeted specifically by the Distance Demons. We leave all events on the calendar so you can get a feel for what may be happening all year. Some of these links may change or become inactive, so just do some research if needed. Event organizers are invited to contact us.

Should Kids Run Long? A thoughtful and comprehensive article. The answer, in short, is "yes" as long as kids are self-motivated for running, are not pushed too hard, and do not run distances too long. We do not encourage kids to run half or full marathons.
